There's a lot to look forward to in 2009. More Dr. Who, the eventual last half-season of BSG . . . and then there's this:

I know there are a number of Dead Like Me fans on my flist. I also know that many are wary about the DVD movie and whether it will still "feel" the same as the original series. After all, some of the differences are major:
- Mandy Patinkin will not be returning as Rube.
- Laura Harris will be replaced by a different actress portraying Daisy.
- Der Waffel Haus burns down! ZOMG!!!
True, these things will certainly affect the feel of the movie. But look at what there is to love:
- Nearly every other major character from the series *will* be returning. (A rare thing considering how much time has passed since the wrap of the second season.)
- Henry Ian Cusick will be playing the new Reaper supervisor. (OMGDESMOND!)
- The original teaser trailer looked a little "meh." Maybe because of its overall quality. But oooh! How shiny everything's starting to look now!
- Did I mention Desmond?
Personally, I can't wait to see this! But "wait" is the operative word: It was supposed to have been released on the 22nd of last month, and has now been pushed to 2009.
The only good part about that is it shares a release-time slot with some of my other favorites.
