Wherein I gush

sharelleAs I mentioned a few days ago, there was a lot of talent on display in the D&DC fandom. I wanted to take a moment to finally gush properly over the challenges that were fulfilled for me.
First off, two very talented ladies made me some things I can play with on LJ:
WhiteVeils created some stunning animated icons which depict each main character doing something that is typically "them." It's hard to pick a favorite, though I really like the one I'm using of DM, as well as the one for Eric. (Hee! Eric. *G*)

seal_girl, who also tackled the awesome responsibility of running the challenge, made some lovely LJ colorbars for the series. Once again, *so* difficult to choose a favorite: The first two cater to my love of the angst that is Hank and the (hidden) attraction of E/D, while the Legacy one represents a fic that is probably one of the nearest and dearest to my heart (since I spent so much time working on it).
Next, Sean made some breathtaking fanart for Through a Mirror Darkly. I stared in incoherent awe at this one for quite a while. I'm so impressed by individuals who can express such emotion through art. Simply amazing work!
I was *thrilled* when I saw that my good friendfayzalmoonbeam had been the one to do my vid request! She could not have done a more perfect job! Even though I tend to favor the Eric/Diana 'ship, I asked for something a little more canonically accurate for this one - Diana/Kosar set to "Written in the Stars" by Elton John. (Mainly because the lyrics suited them down to the last detail.) She did a marvelous job! The timing was wonderful, and I loved how it began and ended at the same point, with the progression of the relationship in the middle. Thank you so much, Fay! "Perfect" is the only way to describe it!
Last, but certainly not least, is a fantastic little story byjuliejordan. I asked for Diana/Eric UST (naturally!), including a fight, some humor, and one of them helping the other with something. And wow! Did I get it! Sweetie, you *nailed* that fic in a major way! (Especially the humor! I must have gone back and re-read several of Eric's lines a dozen times. The parts where he keeps trying to change the subject and talk Diana out of what she wants to do were priceless! The bit about the cockroaches and the whiny "You pushed me!" were just classic!) I'm jealous that I didn't get to beta this one, but for an amazing fic like this, I'll get over it. :) (I just wish there was more! *ducks*)
