Seeing my brother in Iraq *squee*

I was very happy to get word from Tom that his commanding officer will be maintaining a website for the period that they are stationed in Iraq. The sergeant is supposed to be updating as often as possible, with news and photos of Tom's Unit.

Here's the first installment. Tom is the one sitting under the tent with his water bottle, second photo from the top.

He's also here - standing, second one in from the right.

It's great to be able to see him. I hope the site is able to be updated often.

It doesn't seem so far away when you can see pictures and perhaps get some semi-personal updates.

whoo-hoo!! how *fabulous* is that?? *VBG* Rockin' that they're doing this, I'm sure it'll help all the families involved, and I'm sure that you and yours are thrilled to be seeing pics of your brother. ^_^

I think it's wonderful too. (And, yes, it's so great to be able to see him!) I'm considering writing to the webmistress and asking if I can help out in any way.
