I gave "The Office" another shot tonight. It was actually better than last week. Granted, I'm still not loving it so, even if it does start to grow on me, I doubt it will ever become one of those shows I have to watch. (Speaking of which, "Lost" is new tomorrow! Yay!)

I also had the opportunity to watch Stage Beauty this evening. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

All in all, not a bad night to be in front of the TV. *G*

Huzzah! And not a moment too soon! All this waiting was really starting to get on my nerves. :p

I loved Stage Beauty to bits, not half because I saw it and thought, "Ben Jonson would love this to bits." It catches the concerns of the time, and the concerns of this time, together so slyly that the English geek in me whoops and rejoices. I reviewed it on my LJ a month or so ago, if you're interested.

Thanks for reminding me of your review! I'll wander on over there and take a look. (I remember when you wrote it, but it didn't register right away since I hadn't seen the movie yet.)

Very good film, however. It raised lots of interesting questions for me.

It's interesting to get your perspective on the new version of "The Office"-there was a lot of news coverage here about it! The original version is great fun-if really, really cringe-making! Ricky Gervais is something of a legend in these parts!

I've heard the original UK version is excellent. One of these days I'll have to try to watch it so I can compare them. (It should be fairly easy to find online, or they may even broadcast it on BBC America. I'd never thought to look before.)

I'm still reserving my ultimate opinion on the new version. Like I said, I was really hoping to like it. Guess we'll see.
