23 – When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?

Sadly, I don't have the discipline to create my own website. (I tried once, but could never find the time to really get it off the ground to my satisfaction.) So I mainly stick to LJ and FF.net.

I did have a few stories scattered among some miscellaneous specialized archives. All my initial D&DC stories, for instance, were exclusively posted in the "Book Sanctuary" of [livejournal.com profile] kenderkim's Darkhaven. When that site went down, I slowly began moving many of them over here. There are a few shorter fics that were posted solely at [livejournal.com profile] seal_girl's Virtual Realm because they were part of the Christmas Challenge Advent Calendars. Eventually, someday, I may move those to LJ as well.

But regardless of where else I might put them, I like having my own stories posted to my personal LJ. It helps me keep track of them and keep them organized. (At least a little.)

I should probably keep all my stories on my LJ too, they tend to be scattered amongst the comms :P

Since my LJ is pretty much that - a personal journal - I do like to have my work here, whether the stories are also posted in other comms/archives or not. My shorter fics do tend to get cross-posted around, but for my longer ones (like "Rain"), I usually link directly to my own LJ. (Many of those on my flist are members of the same communities as me, and I try not to spam them with two postings of a multi-chaptered fic.)
