Jack's fricking "appendix" scar from "Lighthouse!" He was checking it out in the mirror at the beginning of the episode...



Damn, if that's not the scar from his stab wound!



Talk about awesome use of foreshadowing! And it just serves as a further example of how the Losties created the sideways-verse around them. Jack's psyche came up with an excuse for the scar (his mother said he had his appendix removed when he was 7), and he accepted it even though he didn't consciously remember it happening. It was, in fact, the wound that killed him, though we hadn't seen him receive it yet!

Holy... that's pretty awesome! I thought it was the scar from when Juliet operated on him, but this definitely makes a lot of sense especially since his neck started bleeding before we saw Locke cut him there too.

That was what made me think of it! I was reading a synopsis article that mentioned the FLocke/Jack fight and Jack's bleeding neck and I had a major pause. When I first watched the episode, that was just a passing moment in the show in which we had a little instant gratification at seeing the connection between the two universes. It wasn't until after that I remembered the "appendix" scar! (Back when "Lighthouse" aired, I had just figured it was from Juliet too.)

Yes, I noticed that, too! Also, at the beginning of S6 (I think it was when they were on the plane), Jack's neck was bleeding.

I'll definitely be seeing S6 through new eyes when I rewatch it. There are just so many new layers to it now.

I can't believe just how much the finale blew me away!
