Oh, my God, I loved "Lost" tonight. Locke has been creeping me out up until now, but tonight he has officially become my new hero on the show. That last flashback to the Walkabout tour group was one of those jaw-dropping tv moments that just gave me the tinglies. My big love, love, love for the show just gets...well...bigger!

But the biggest news:

My brother's home! My brother's home!

I haven't seen him for an entire year and he's just arrived home from Japan tonight. He brought me some Japanese art and a kimono, which I am now wearing. (The kimono, not the art.) *loffs him muchly*

He's only in until the 30th -- mainly because he's in the wedding of one of his best friends next Saturday -- so we'll be going on a spree of all the favorite holidays that he'll miss while he's away for another year. Not in any particular order, of course.

Tomorrow's Easter.

Taking Notes

Sometimes you've got to love the workings of the 9th grade mind. I was standing in the hall right after lunch this afternoon and one of my Freshmen, (let's call him "Billy") came up to me with a note in his hand.

"Ms. R, 'Sheila' gave me a note. Do you want it?"
"Whose is it," I asked, thinking he had taken it from someone else.
"It was mine," he answered. "But I'm done with it."

Well, that's interesting. I've never had a student give me a note because they were simply "done with it" before. *shrugs* But who am I to pass up the juicy and scandalous and eternally amusing drama of 14-year-olds?

Funny how "Private! ur eyes and mine only!!" only makes people more eager to share.

Plus, you know when notes start listing soundtrack credits, it's got to be a good one!
