Oh, my God, I loved "Lost" tonight. Locke has been creeping me out up until now, but tonight he has officially become my new hero on the show. That last flashback to the Walkabout tour group was one of those jaw-dropping tv moments that just gave me the tinglies. My big love, love, love for the show just gets...well...bigger!
But the biggest news:
My brother's home! My brother's home!
I haven't seen him for an entire year and he's just arrived home from Japan tonight. He brought me some Japanese art and a kimono, which I am now wearing. (The kimono, not the art.) *loffs him muchly*
He's only in until the 30th -- mainly because he's in the wedding of one of his best friends next Saturday -- so we'll be going on a spree of all the favorite holidays that he'll miss while he's away for another year. Not in any particular order, of course.
Tomorrow's Easter.
Don't laugh, it's fun. *G*

Date: 2004-10-13 10:42 pm (UTC)Happy Easter!
[and it sounds like fun to me! *G* Growing up, we used to have two Christmases, 'cause Dad was usually working on Christmas Day. So we'd wait 'til he got home and have another Christmas...the "main" christmas, with him. So it doesn't seem so weird, at least not to me. ^_^]

Date: 2004-10-14 11:55 am (UTC)Thanks so much for the Easter wishes, too! *VBG* Christmas and Thanksgiving will be coming up next week at some point as well. (Just like last year before Tom left for Okinawa. We had the tree up and everything by October 17. The funniest part about that whole thing was on Halloween when the trick-or-treaters came around and saw all the Christmas decorations instead. Yes, kids, we dressed the place up as a Christmas house this Halloween!)
Nice to know someone else has been through the whole alternate-holiday experience, too!
OooooOooooo!!
Date: 2004-10-14 10:36 pm (UTC)And happy early Thanksgiving and Christmas!
And hey, having the house dressed up as Christmas for Halloween...that isn't so bad. It's not likely to make kids scream like the time my dad dressed as a giant eyeball.
But where the heck d'you find a christmas tree *this* early? I mean, alot of places get early starts on Christmas these days, but you can't find a tree 'round here 'til closer to Thanksgiving.

Date: 2004-10-15 01:48 pm (UTC)Ah, but that would be in the seeeecret forest of . . . my parents' attic!
Growing up, I've never actually had a real tree because my dad has a hugely elaborate antique train set that might get damaged if pine needles were to fall on the track. But artificial trees can be very convenient sometimes. I've never minded. *G*

Date: 2004-10-16 12:20 am (UTC)Fake tree. duuuuhhh...why didn't *I* think of that? **smacks forehead** The inlaws only do fake, and so does a friend of mine [that actually does the Christmas tree thing]
Antique train, huh? Bet that's cool. ^_^
