20 – Do you ever get bunnied from other people's stories or art in the same fandom?

First, "bunnied" as a verb. Who knew?

Oh, sometimes I'll read a brilliant story and think, "Wow, I wish I'd thought of that!" But I honestly try not to get too "bunnied" by other people's fics, at the risk of repeating something that's already been done. I prefer to come up with something original if I can. But every once in a while I'll find that flash of inspiration in another writer's work that's impossible to ignore. "Legacy", for instance, was born after reading Pat Drazen's "Return to the Realm: 10 Years Later". I liked the idea of the kids having to go back to the Realm years after returning home, but I didn't want the plots to have any similarities. Hopefully, I managed to accomplish that.
