Since I have to get up early tomorrow for a school-related faculty seminar, I only have time for a few quick thoughts on tonight's Dead Like Me, complete with spoilers:

* For a split second there, Joy and Clancy didn't seem to want a divorce. (Actually, they even seemed a little out of character to me since I can't remember ever seeing either of them that happy over something as simple as a band uniform.)

* Daisy, Daisy Adair's reap had the same name as someone I work with. Freaky.

* Speaking of Daisy, her ever-growing compassion continues to add much more depth to her character.

* I was surprised to see George's playful interaction with "The Ted." Normally, she's never that friendly at work (especially after her "being-mean-is-cool" episode from last week and her boycott of the retreat from the week before). Either she's being written really out of character too, or she's starting to majorly come out of her shell and let people in. (And Dolores as the semi-cold one for a change? After lecturing "Millie" last week about corporate cutthroat culture? Huh.)

* Not to get all smug and gloaty over someone's demise, but I loved the poetic justice that came from George reaping the Mercedes Guy who almost ran down her little sister. (And speaking of that part, can I just say how terribly nervous I was that something was going to happen to Reggie or Joy during their confrontation in the street? I kept thinking back to earlier in the program, trying to remember if anyone touched either of them or bumped into them at any point.)

* And Rube! Tonight it was his turn to make me cry! His story is coming together, but not at all in the fast-paced way that remained the theme throughout the rest of the episode. His story is more like the line he had to wait through at the post office in order to get to the point where some of our questions were answered about him. (Though, now, even more seem to be raised.) Now we know he had a daughter named Rosie and a wife to whom he sent a large amount of money (presumably after his death). It just adds more fuel to the fire of how George's fixation on her family may parallel that of his own. As to what happened to them and why the funds remained in the Dead Letter Office for 80 years, we have yet to find out.
I loved the brief but tender moment between Rube and George in the restaurant afterward. They probably really do understand one another, they just may not know how much yet.
