30 Days of Fanfic - Day 30!

Actually made it faithfully to the last day! Wow!
30 – Do you have a favorite fic you've written? What makes it your favorite? And don't forget to give us a link!
I have a tendency to like my own writing. Honestly, I do. I know a few people who can't really go back to read and enjoy their own work, and I think that's a shame. (Because if one enjoys writing fic, why not find enjoyment in the finished product, too?) But I'm happy to say that I feel very proud of the things I've created. It's been a collaborative effort in many ways - I've had excellent betas, without whom many of my fics probably wouldn't have been nearly as polished - but, overall, I do genuinely like my stories.
If I had to pick favorites, I'd probably choose the following:
Legacy (D&DC) - I probably worked longest and hardest on this one. It's my one, true epic story.
Balance of Power (D&DC) - I was very proud of how this turned out since it felt the closest to an actual episode of the series.
Begin the Beguine (Firefly) - I simply loved writing this one. It practically wrote itself, and (as I mentioned the other day) it's really stood the test of time for me.
(And although I'm not finished with it yet, Rain on the Just is starting to look like something I'll be very proud of in the end as well!)
I have a hard time playing favorites, though. I can probably find something to love about every story I've done. I've put a lot of love into each of them, after all. It's very rewarding when I revisit them and they give a little love back! :)
