sharelle: (Mirror Darkly)
Some time ago, I made a movie-poster style piece of artwork to go with my latest D&DC story "Through a Mirror Darkly." I'd also cropped and rearranged it to make the icon that I'm using. Then, as many of you know, my computer crashed in May. There were a few choice things on my hard drive that I hadn't saved yet which fell victim to that calamity.

Hurrah! The icon was saved, because I was using it.

Alas! The "movie poster" was one of the casualties.

[livejournal.com profile] kenderkim suggested that I try again, so I sat down and tinkered with it for a while. It's still not turning out exactly the way I'd like, so I'll need a bit more time to work on it. In the meantime, however, I started to get inspired to do the same type of thing with other stories. What follows is the product of today's labors.

Now, I never claimed to be an expert at Photoshop. (I'll leave that to lovely, talented ladies like [livejournal.com profile] buttersideup, [livejournal.com profile] deathisyourart, [livejournal.com profile] awmp, [livejournal.com profile] sandy_s, and [livejournal.com profile] _jems_, to name only a few.) But D&D is a cartoon. I think I can at least manipulate PS enough to get a couple 2-dimensional animated characters to do what I want.

So this first set is for [livejournal.com profile] seal_girl - for her story "The Temple of Love" - because I've wanted to make her an icon since she asked about mine, because she's a new mom again and deserves a pretty gifty, because she cranks out D&D stories like a D&D-story-cranking machine, and because she's just a really terrific person.

Enjoy, sweetie! *hugs* I hope to put a few more together from time to time.
