Well, I'm home from work. Huzzah, hoorah! Now for five wonderful days off as we celebrate Thanksgiving.
"What's that?" you say. "Five?"
Indeed. While there certainly may be other states that do this, here in the schools of PA, we not only get a Thanksgiving holiday, but we get the first Monday of buck hunting season off as well. Awesome, I know. *G*
My former roommate (from NJ) always rolled her eyes at this, commenting (very good-naturedly and without any malice, mind) that "only a bunch of hicks would get a vacation for the first day of hunting season."
*Shrug*, I say. As long as I am in that school system and I get a five-day weekend out of it, I will complain not. (Even if I don't hunt.)
In the meantime...5 days, 5 days, 5 days!
