sharelle: (So many books)
The last two days have been quite productive for me as far as the book-buying goes. (Educator Weekend at Borders is one of my favorite times!)

Not only did I manage to pick up [livejournal.com profile] jimbutcher's "Furies of Calderon," like I'd wanted to last week, but I also bought a few things that are actually for my classroom (go figure), including one all-Spanish (gorgeous) leather-bound copy of "Don Quixote de la Mancha" and a reference book on the legends of the ancient civilizations of the Americas.

Other random and/or gift purchases:
- the audio version of Book 5 of Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series for my brother (since his extensive traveling with the military makes carrying large hardcover books a little difficult)
- 2 Marine-related books (also for my brother)
- 3 Jane Austin books I didn't have
- some Bert's Bees lotion (Love that stuff!)

I can think of at least two or three more I wanted to "sleep on," but will probably go back for tomorrow. (Plus, my new boyfriend behind the counter - who is not yet aware that he is my boyfriend - has waited on me again for the last two days. I'm going for a hat trick.)

I'll leave you with the cover art for one of the funniest books I've seen in a long time! Too bad I couldn't find more pages available online because, I'm telling you, I hadn't lived until I saw a bunny throw itself onto Darth Vader's lightsaber. Or try to burn a hole in its own head with a magnifying glass. Or sun itself by the shore as Noah's Ark begins to set sail. *snicker*
