Yahoo! Messenger Insanity!
Jul. 10th, 2004 12:52 amTonight I've been reminded as to why I try to stay away from various instant messengers. You can kill a least two hours chatting without ever realizing the time has gone by! My plans to go to bed early (due to early-morning Hershey trip) were shot when my brother called from Okinawa, saying that he wanted to try out his new internet camera that hooks up through the Yahoo! instant messenger. We spent the next two hours testing the video and audio hookups, making weird faces at each other, and just chatting in general. Tons of fun, and the conversation was absolutely nonsensical, but it was so great to actually see him for a change!
Trip plans are getting more serious. There's a chance I may have to get an international driver's license. I'm not sure why. (Can a cab not go to the base? Or will a rental be cheaper in the long run?) Either way, the prospect is very exciting! This prospective trip just keeps getting better and better!
