My thoughts on the things people have been telling me to see lately.

I've been pleasantly surprised by some of the shows/movies that have been suggested to me by others lately. Honestly, some I hadn't expected to like at all have left me pretty impressed.

And, yeah, I know. Talk about polar opposites....

So little time...

I didn't have many chances to sit and watch much during my marathon VM-ing. I only got through episode #7 today. )

Late night ramblings on Veroncia Mars

Thanks to some very generous souls, I've been able to acquire the episodes to date for Veronica Mars, and I managed to watch 1-6 over the weekend so far. Therefore, some first impressions:

Warm-Weather Sniffles

So that cold I somehow didn't get from the little darlings at school all winter? Yeah, it seems to be hitting me now. And just as the weather was getting so gorgeous. The warm-up is not supposed to last though, which is probably a good thing. I'd much rather have the weather stay cooler as long as possible. I hate being cooped in the school when it's so nice outside. Being on the top floor of a building with no air conditioning doesn't help, either. (Bring on the cold, miserable weather, I say! Then cease and desist on June 10.)

In other news, I gave the pilot of VM another viewing (thanks again, [livejournal.com profile] _jems_). Since I had seen that one already (and it's pretty much the same as I remember), I plan on reserving my opinion until I've seen a few more. Feeling a tad under the weather will certainly work as the perfect excuse to just lounge around and watch them. *G*

(no subject)

Since there are so many members of my flist who are so into Veronica Mars, and there's been a lot of talk about it lately, I must admit that I'm curious as to how the season has shaped up. Not totally interested - sorry - but curious. (I usually stay away from the subject of VM in my journal because I know how much people like it and, honestly, I had a difficult time staying interested. I didn't enjoy the first episode, and subsequently didn't watch any more.)

I wouldn't feel right jumping back in now, with only a few episodes left (I'm still not certain that I'd want to at all.), but maybe after they've all aired I can get hold of a few torrents over the summer.

EDIT: And while this is probably going to fall into the "eh, big deal" category with nearly anyone who has been around LJ longer than I have, I recently posted comment #1,000. Whee! *confetti*
