Cradle robbing (again)
It's actually starting to get amusing the way this keeps happening.
Okay, I'm 28 years old. Granted, I've been told on more than one occasion that I could pass for a high school student (a fact which I'm sure I'll be grateful for later). I just wish that didn't mean I would only be hit on by boys 22 and younger. Carlo, from fencing, would be the third, I believe, since before Easter. A group of us went to The Banshee after class and I could hardly get away from him. Heck of a nice guy, but . . . *sigh*.
I guess I should be flattered. And I know lots of people don't have a problem with an age difference like that. (By all rights, it's not that many years.) I just feel squicky to have a guy getting all flirty who is young enough to have been my student at one point. (This one, for as nice as he is, was especially bad. He actually went to the school where I teach! I never had him as a student, but I did teach some of his former classmates about three years later, after he transferred. They were juniors when I started my job.)
Oh, brother. And my mother wonders why I haven't been dating much.
In other, more emotionally satisfying, news, I posted "Ether" to FF.Net. I must say, branching out into a larger fandom is a strange thing. As of right now, I've only received 5 reviews for my story (which is great, if you ask me, especially for a one-shot that's probably going to cycle off the page pretty quickly), but, regardless of reviews, I've also gotten almost 300 hits on it in the first 24 hours alone -- compared to "Morning Star," which has taken since September to reach that many. Instant gratification sure is neat, though I can't say it makes me want to abandon my favorite fandom. :)
