Long Day Ahead

Parent-Teacher conferences tomorrow - (Ugh. I should so be sleeping right now.) - and I have to stay at the school for a full 12 hours. (7am to 7pm Double "ugh.")

Though I suppose it could be worse. At the beginning of the year, Charlie had the "brilliant" idea to have the conference this Wednesday instead, since it was a half day and we have no school on Thursday. It would be great to have conferences on a night when we could have the next day off. So, at first, everybody was excited.

Yay, we'll get to leave early!

Er, no. Apparently, because of parents' work schedules, we'd still have to stay until 7:00. So...instead of parent visits from 3 to 7, we'd have gotten to stay from noon until 7?

What the %@*#^ is the point of that? Sorry, Charlie, not one of your better ideas. Thank God he changed it. (At least this way, we may be exhausted on Wednesday, but at least we'll just have the half-day to get through before the vacation on Thursday.)

Wish me luck tomorrow. I can already think of a few parents who are going to be giving me trouble over their little "angels'" work. (Or complete lack thereof.)
