7 – Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?

I've certainly had characters suddenly seem more interesting to me due to fic. I mentioned a few days ago how my focus on Bobby (D&DC) in Legacy was unintentional at first. But I found that the more I wrote him, the more I really liked writing about him. That has definitely happened on more than one occasion. The same has happened for fics I'm reading. Certain authors just have a wonderful knack for making their characters seem so rich, that I even love reading about the ones who aren't my favorites.

I'm not sure I could say my opinion ever specifically changed. (If I didn't have at least some love of the characters I probably wouldn't be in the fandom to begin with.) But I can say that, in the right hands or in the proper story setting, I've found certain characters to be much more intriguing.
