I absolutely welcome any nagging "ifs" that you come up with. I will say that the decision to make Spike less than forthcoming with the future information (for the reasons mentioned in the story) was carefully made after determining where the plot was going to go. You've definitely given me something to chew on, though. Especially when writing upcoming scenes and deciding what sounds credible. Thanks!
