Just . . . no.
Seriously, what the hell?
I'm not sure what it is, but these last few years, whenever Penn State goes against Michigan, the order of the day always seems to center around the Crappiest Killer Bad Calls Imaginable. (Always in Michigan's favor. Seriously, do they harvest their own officials themselves?)
First there was that added-2-seconds fiasco. This year it was a phantom touchdown-that-wasn't.
WTF?
Was I the only one who saw that the ball had not crossed over into the endzone? (Strange that they only replayed that once or twice afterward, especially after it had been hailed as the "major play of the game.") The commentators never remarked on it either. Were they *watching* the same game?
I don't like to see my Lions lose, naturally, but I'll accept it if the loss is dealt fair and square. (Especially when we make our fair share of mistakes.) However, it seems we never get that against the Wolverines.
When we finally beat them - and we will, make no mistake - I hope it's a massacre.
Love ya, Lions.
ETA: Oh, how badly did I want to smack Bob Griese? "This is how you hold a football?" The Joe Paterno impression? Uncalled-for and disrespectful.
I noticed that none of his snide comments were aimed at Michigan. *smack*
