I just discovered this fic through petzipellingo's rec on TWoP as well, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. I have to confess that from time to time, I went..wait, wait, that's not right, but then every time you addressed the possible discrepancy later (like the fact that Spike can enter the house before he ever was invited to it), which made me all happy. Your character voices are great - you've even got that Jossian trick of making the characters miscommunicate just enough that the wrong impression is conveyed and bad things seem about to happen before they finally do the big reveal. And I love the ways you draw the differences between S2 Spike and AtS S5 Spike, b/c they're most definitely there, as well as the similarities - it's still the same character. Plot=wise I'm also very intrigued.
I'm really looking forward to seeing where you go with this. And now I've stayed up an hour later than I intended today, reading this! Just couldn't stop =).
