It can take a lot out of you to write something emotionally draining, especially one that you truly want to feel is right by the time you're finished. Which is why I completely understand any blocks you may be feeling with your own story. Where you left off will undoubtedly lead into some pretty heavy emotional territory, and doing it justice sometimes means taking a step back from it. Trust me, I have no doubt it will be wonderful when you feel it is ready! (And I will be eager to read!)
I can't thank you enough for your very kind words, sweetie! You've left me in awe, and I'm so very grateful. It certainly means a great deal - especially for this chapter, which was a huge challenge. And I'm especially appreciative since you mentioned some of the little details that I spent a lot of time on. For instance, of all the things I changed over and over in this chapter, that little image of Minion squeezing Megamind's wrist remained intact. ("Bothria" is just a fancy name for tentacles. I hoped to make it sound more exotic - in an "alien anatomy" sort of way - but it is a real word!)
I'm sort of partial to the title myself . . . though we haven't quite reached the bottom of this particular downward spiral. Hope you enjoy what's ahead!
