26 – What is the oddest (or funniest) thing you've had to research for a fic?

I think the funniest thing for me is the fact that much of my research has to do with weaponry. Just because of the fandoms that I'm in, many of my stories either have a lot of tech and/or weapons of some sort - from D&DC (medieval and/or fantasy style weaponry) to Buffy (lots of pointy things) to Firefly (futuristic firearms) and now to Megamind (over-the-top doomsday devices and explosives). I swear if anyone ever takes a close look at the history files on my computer, they may seriously start to wonder if I'm secretly building a rather eclectic arsenal in my home.

I'm sure there have been other, more entertaining and random, things I've researched over the years, but the sheer accumulation of all the weapon searches I've done (from what they're called, to what kind of damage they're capable of) would probably raise a few eyebrows if anyone were to take a close enough look!
