Lost - "What They Died For"

- We finally see where everyone else has been. Sadly just in time to say buh-bye to Richard. (Maybe.)
- I'm kind of glad that Benry isn't totally all redeemed and stuff. I like him better as a baddie.
- I was happy to see Tina Fey Zoe go. Every time she randomly showed up I was all, "*groan* not her again!" I even loved the way she went: "You wouldn't let her speak; that made her pointless." FLocke isn't beating around the bush anymore. He is COLD!
- And goodbye, Widmore. (Ben is still pretty cold himself.)
- I LOVE the flash-sideways world! Hurley and Desmond both seem to have a clear sense of what is going on.
- Ana-Lucia! (Snarky, and "not ready yet") And Hurley knew her, which was nifty.
- Whose concert are they attending? (A) Jack's son (B) Faraday and Drive Shaft
- Hurley's reaction to Jack choosing to be Jacob's replacement surprised me: "I'm glad it's not me." Not because he had that reaction, but because he voiced it. We usually see Hurley being more selfless.
- The Kwon in question must have been Jin since, by Jacob's logic, Sun was a mother too. (Although, apparently getting one's name crossed off in the cave does nothing to lessen one's candidacy to replace Jacob.)
- I like that the "Who's going to replace Jacob?" question was answered in this one and not saved for the very last episode. This way, we can cut right to the action. (Although, with Jack being the new protector of the Island, that makes all his friends expendable to the Smoke Monster.)
- The Losties must have sprung Desmond. I can't even imagine how FLocke plans to use him to destroy the whole island, but I can't wait to find out!



So, so, SO excited for Sunday!!!

While trapped on an Island for all eternity, what can Jacob and the Man in Black do to pass the time? Why, play Connect Four Million, of course!

It's gonna be interesting to see how this all plays out on Sunday. I was surprised too, about Hurley's reaction for the same reason.

For the end, I'm thinking that it'd be fun if the last shot was of Jack and Ben (who will take over for "Blackie"/Locke) sitting on the shore, looking out to sea and chatting. Give it that full circle kinda thing. Yep, that's my current prediction for the end. Well, pretty much my only one since I have no idea how it'll play out with all the rest. Should be interesting. Lol!

I'm starting to wonder if Benj might become another Smoke Monster too.

I hope not, purely because I want the Island reality to end, leaving everyone better off (except the trio of everliving old timers, obviously) in Sidewaysville.

I at least hope that something is done to break the cycle that's been on the Island for centuries. (If Jack/Ben become the new Jacob/Smokey, nothing really changes.) Something has to happen in the sideways-verse that will affect what is going on!

I loved that Connect 4 Million thing. I have decided that Jacob's a colossal Douche (and that MiB is a Hot Little Biscuit) but the Jacob actor is ridiculously funny in that spoof.

Loved that episode. I hope that Benj is plotting plots against Mocke though. Why would he want the island to himself? And why would he buy Mocke's promise of having the island to himself when minutes later Smokey says he's going to destroy the place?

I still think the best way it can end would be if the island reality plays itself out to an apocalyptic end and everyone is left in Sideways world with dreamlike 'memories' of their island lives that they can learn from. Happy endings for all! (And Benj *finally* gets to void the warranty on his virginity. HURRAY!)

Absolutely! That doesn't give Benry a lot of incentive to help, even if he did want to rule over the island all on his lonesome for eternity!
